Guy Kremer Bistro – Bench Seating

Herbert and Ellison were commissioned to create some bench seating for a new cafe bistro, called The Yard, opening soon in Lymington, Hampshire.

Located behind the recently opened Guy Kremer salon, The Yard has a distinctive Australian surf style and the interior is a striking combination of blues from the dark painted walls to the turquoise tiles. Our task was to construct a 3.5 metre length of seating with extra wide fluting on the back in faux leather.

The frame was constructed by our friends at Pure Timber and we then covered using 4” commercial grade high density foam on the base with a smooth upholstered finished using Skai faux leather in Cognac. For the backs we opted for 5” wide stitched flutes with 2” foam, using our own in-house technique which produces ultra straight lines, evenly filled, crease-free flutes and smooth rounded edges.
