Domestic Upholstery
We are experienced in both traditional and modern upholstery techniques. Armchairs, sofas, dining chairs and ottomans can all be given a new lease of life by reupholstering them. We can replace seat webbing and springs, add new foam cushions and re-cover in a new fabric and trims to update the style. Commission are welcome for bespoke pieces such as footstools and headboards which we are able to have made by our carpentry suppliers..

There is pretty much always a sofa upholstery project in our workshop. It is probably one of the most common pieces we work on, being the focal point of many homes, the sofa upholstery can complete change the aesthetic of a room.

Footstools, Pouffes & Ottoman Upholstery
Footstools, pouffes and ottomans are a quick and easy way of adding an injection of colour into any room. A footstool can double up as extra seating and bespoke pouffes can be designed to fit underneath a coffee or side table. In the bedroom an ottoman also have multiple functions, providing both seating and storage. Herbert and Ellison Upholstery can custom make any of these pieces to suit your exact requirements, finished with legs to suit your scheme, with fabrics and trimming to create unique pieces for your home.

Dining Chair Upholstery
Reupholstering dining chairs can be a cost effective way of updating your interior design. We can cover virtually all kinds of dining room chairs, from drop in seats to full leather styles. Supply your own fabric, or order from our vast range of sample books including Sanderson and Harlequin brands. We can work on a couple of chairs at a time, so as not to leave you without any seating!

Make a statement in the bedroom with a custom designed headboard from Herbert & Ellison Upholstery. We can work to classic styles, or create something unique to your specification. We regularly take commissions from our customers for bespoke pieces of upholstery. It may a handmade piece, a window seat or garden furniture, we have worked on many individual and unique upholstery projects, and are happy to discuss your specifications and supply a quote with no obligation. We can supply fabric from our pattern books, or advise you on the type of suitable material and quantity required so that you can purchase it yourself.
